Three people were killed and at least seven others injured after a gunman opened fire at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, on August 1. Authorities say the suspect, 24-year-old Chad Williams, fired at customers in vehicles and through the restaurant’s drive-thru before taking his own life. Among those killed was an In-N-Out employee.
Police credited two civilians—an off-duty Idaho State Police trooper and an armed citizen—with helping prevent even greater loss of life. Authorities said the pair confronted the shooter, forcing him away from the scene and likely saving additional lives through their quick actions.
Company owner and president Lynsi Snyder expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, saying her heart was broken for the victims, their families, and the employees and customers who witnessed the horrific attack. She encouraged those grieving to turn to God for comfort and strength rather than anger, pledging the company’s prayers and support for everyone affected.
