1,600 Students Commit to Christ at UCF

A continued spiritual awakening on American college campuses reached the University of Central Florida this week, where thousands of students gathered for worship and hundreds publicly professed faith in Christ. According to UniteUS founder Tonya Prewett, more than 5,000 students assembled Tuesday night, and 1,600 made decisions to fully commit their lives to Jesus. Hundreds were baptized, including students who previously identified as atheists.

UniteUS has hosted two dozen campus revival events since launching three years ago in the wake of the February 2023 Asbury Awakening. The first gathering at Auburn University in September 2023 resulted in approximately 200 spontaneous baptisms. Since then, more than 120,000 students have attended UniteUS events nationwide, with thousands making commitments to follow Christ.

Recent outreaches at the University of South Florida, NC State, Clemson, and other campuses have also seen large numbers respond to the Gospel. The ministry has expanded to high schools, where 1,000 students surrendered their lives to Christ at a Nashville event. Organizers report continued spiritual hunger among young people across the country.
