Michael Youssef, founder of Leading The Way and pastor of the Church of the Apostles in Atlanta, has introduced a new digital tool called My Faith Assistant, designed to provide scripturally sound answers to spiritual questions through artificial intelligence. “I listen carefully to what people are saying, and I understand why so many are terrified of AI,” Youssef told The Christian Post. “For some good reasons, the potential is huge both ways. But I asked myself, how do we redeem AI? And I believe with all my heart that we’ve succeeded.”
Created in partnership with Christian technologists and businessmen, the platform operates like a faith-centered chatbot, offering responses rooted solely in Scripture. It has already handled more than 2,400 pilot conversations covering 191 topics. Beyond quick answers, the tool connects users to Bible reading plans, sermons, and pastoral care.
Youssef sees this as part of a broader effort to disciple the next generation and expand Gospel reach through innovation. “Everything we do is for the audience of one,” he said. “One day I want to stand before Jesus and hear, ‘Well done.’”
