A viral exchange involving Grok, the artificial intelligence chatbot developed by Elon Musk’s xAI, is drawing attention after the program distinguished Jesus Christ from other religious figures.
During a CBN News discussion, Raj Nair highlighted a social media post in which a user reportedly instructed Grok to remove the “fake gods” from an image. The chatbot removed every figure except Jesus. When questioned about its decision, Grok reportedly cited Jesus as a historical figure and referenced His claims of divinity, accounts of His resurrection, and the subsequent rise of Christianity.
CBN’s Tré Goines-Phillips and Nair used the exchange to discuss the biblical identity of Christ. They referenced passages including John 8:58, John 10:30, Philippians 2:10-11, and John 14:6, which address Jesus’ divinity, lordship, and declaration that He is the way to the Father.
The discussion also emphasized that artificial intelligence cannot substitute for Christian faith, repentance, or a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, regardless of technological advances or changing cultural attitudes.
