New Ministry Equips Gen Z to Stand on Scripture

New Ministry Equips Gen Z to Stand on Scripture

A young Christian activist is working to strengthen biblical literacy among Generation Z through Counteract USA, a nonprofit discipleship ministry founded by Allison Paris in 2022. The organization seeks to equip believers ages 13 to 30 with a solid understanding of Scripture so they can confidently share the gospel and engage culture from a biblical worldview.

Counteract USA operates through small discipleship groups called “cells,” where participants study Scripture, discuss cultural issues, and learn how to apply biblical principles to everyday life. The ministry has expanded to about 12 states and includes roughly 25 groups nationwide.

Paris said she was motivated by seeing many young people raised in Christian environments struggle to defend their faith when challenged. She believes many identify as Christians culturally but lack a deep knowledge of God’s Word. The ministry aims to provide both biblical training and Christian community to help young believers remain steadfast in college, the workplace, and other settings.

Counteract USA also hosts an annual event, “Resolved to Stand,” encouraging young Christians to remain faithful and grounded in Scripture while engaging the culture around them.
