A viral video circulating online shows an unidentified man altering a billboard in Los Angeles that originally read, “Jesus is not God.” The man climbed the platform and painted over the word “not,” changing the message to proclaim Jesus’ divinity. The billboard is part of a campaign by the group World’s Last Chance (WLC), which promotes Arianism, denies the Trinity, and pushes the view that the earth is flat.
According to reports, WLC has described its billboards as “not mere slogans” but a “clarion call to awaken hearts and minds to the radiant truth of Scripture.” Arianism, the belief that Jesus was a created being, was condemned as heresy at the Council of Nicaea in the fourth century.
Ray Comfort, founder of Living Waters, responded in a recent video, calling WLC “a strange sect.” He said, “They claim to believe the Scriptures yet openly deny the deity of Christ—a contradiction the Bible does not permit.” Comfort added, “Jesus himself said, ‘I came down from heaven and before Abraham was, I am.’”
