Pro-life pregnancy centers across the country are using new technology to meet women where they are, online and on their phones. Choose Life Marketing introduced Olive, an AI-powered chatbot designed to help women schedule appointments at pregnancy centers at any time of day. CEO Nelly Roach explained, “Olive does not minister to anybody. Olive does not do consultations. Olive schedules.” This tool enables pregnancy centers to keep pace with the pro-abortion movement, which has already adopted AI with bots like Roo and Charley to promote abortion access.
Heartbeat International’s Andrea Trudden expressed concern over recent changes in chatbot responses to questions about abortion pill reversal. “This is suppressing First Amendment rights,” she said. “It’s forcing the AI companies to fall in line to certain ideologies, and it actually takes away information.”
Many centers now invest in Google advertising, 24/7 chat services, and telehealth to connect with women searching for abortion pills. Leaders say these efforts are essential as women increasingly seek abortion access without ever visiting a clinic in person.
