“Unforgettable”: Governor’s Children Discover Holy Land Relics

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family made a remarkable discovery during a recent visit to Israel over the Christmas holiday. While touring caves near Na’ela in the Binyamin region, her children, Scarlett, George, and William, unearthed five ancient coins believed to be over 2,000 years old. The tour, led by professional archaeologists and coordinated by the Benjamin Regional Council, included U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, the governor’s father.

The children used metal detectors while exploring with experts. Dr. Dvir Raviv of Bar-Ilan University explained, “In the first cave, which is known to area residents, we found a fragment of a jar from the second century … The children scanned the cave and found five coins, possibly from the Bar Kokhba Revolt period, the Great Revolt, or the late Roman period.”

Governor Huckabee Sanders told Fox News, “Watching my kids uncover and hold coins buried for more than 2,000 years was unforgettable.”
