Students Find Freedom in Christ at UniteUS Event

Nearly 7,000 students gathered at Grand Canyon University on Tuesday night for a UniteUS evangelistic event marked by worship, Gospel preaching, and powerful life change. The movement, which travels to college campuses across the nation, reported that “lives changed, hearts surrendered, and students encounter Jesus in powerful ways.”

The ministry shared that 4,300 students rededicated their lives to Christ, 58 made first-time commitments, and 251 chose to be baptized. Additionally, 2,600 expressed interest in college ministry, and 622 asked to be connected to a local church. “Unite GCU was more than an event; it was a move of God,” the organizers wrote.

UniteUS founder Tonya Prewett, Pastor Jonathan Pokluda, and IF:Gathering founder Jennie Allen lead the outreach. Pokluda told CBN News, “They are coming in with guilt and shame. STDs, unwanted pregnancies, abortions. And they come here and we are showing them the one, the only one, who can really deal with their sin, is Jesus Christ.”
