While political division has stalled the U.S. government, thousands of believers from across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Israel gathered on the National Mall to proclaim the name of Jesus during a national event called Communion America. The sound of the shofar marked the space as Holy Ground, setting the tone for a solemn time of prayer, repentance, and worship.
The central theme was repentance. From the main stage, speakers cried out, “Jesus, we need your leadership. We repent!” Small groups spread across the Mall, kneeling, standing, or holding hands in unified prayer for healing and revival in America.
Andrea Lafferty reflected, “And when they sang about the blood of Jesus. You know bloodshed in America. They’ve taken it from beyond pro-life to meaning bloodshed in our schools, in our streets.” Jennifer Gibbs added, “Do not sleep on America … God has called us and He has resurrected His Church.”
The communion table stretched a mile long, symbolizing unity. After partaking, attendees sang “Nothing but the Blood of Jesus.”
