As Artificial Intelligence rapidly evolves, it is now being used to retell the stories of Scripture in stunning, cinematic form. The AI Bible, a project from Pray.com, is using AI-generated imagery and animation to bring biblical accounts to platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, reaching millions, especially younger audiences. These 10-minute videos depict dramatic moments from Scripture—like David and Goliath, Revelation, and Job, using flashy, video game-style visuals designed to grab attention and stir interest.
While the creators aim to glorify God and introduce biblical stories to the masses, their approach raises important concerns. Many of the videos offer only surface-level summaries, omitting crucial theological truths. For example, Job’s deep discourse with God is largely absent, replaced by emotionally driven storytelling. The project team insists pastors review the content for biblical accuracy, but some visuals, such as overly sensual portrayals of Jezebel, suggest a need for more discernment.
Still, some viewers are engaging with Scripture and local churches because of this outreach. AI may open doors, but it must remain grounded in truth.
