Global Bible Month returns this November for its second year, bringing together ministries, Bible apps, and major retailers to encourage daily Scripture reading. The 30-day initiative includes participation from Walmart, Hobby Lobby, and the YouVersion Bible App, encouraging believers worldwide to make God’s Word a daily priority.
YouVersion founder Bobby Gruenewald said hundreds of ministry partners have developed special Bible reading plans for the campaign. Scripture will also be highlighted in prominent locations, including Times Square in New York City and Piccadilly Circus in London.
The initiative comes amid continued growth in Bible engagement. Following YouVersion reaching one billion app downloads last year, daily usage has increased 13%, with approximately 18.5 million people accessing the platform each day.
Popular Scripture searches include anxiety, hope, and healing, reflecting topics users are exploring through God’s Word. Gruenewald also noted growing interest in biblical truth amid questions about artificial intelligence and trustworthy information.
Nearly 15 million people have participated in Global Bible Month so far.
