Joni Lamb, co-founder and president of the Christian television network Daystar, has died at the age of 65 following “serious health matters” that worsened in recent days. Daystar confirmed her passing, stating, “Lamb had been dealing with serious health matters that she chose to face head on and in private.”
Under her leadership, Daystar expanded into one of the largest Christian broadcasting networks, reaching audiences globally through multiple platforms. The board noted, “Joni’s love for the Lord and for the people we serve shaped this ministry from the beginning.”
Born in Texas in 1960, Lamb co-founded Daystar in 1993 with her first husband, Marcus Lamb. She is survived by her husband Doug Weiss and her children. Author Max Davis said, “I knew her as someone who wasn’t perfect, but loved the Lord deeply, her family, and was passionate about the gospel.”
