One Million Moms has urged Christians to boycott the Super Bowl LX halftime show, calling families to avoid rapper Bad Bunny’s performance and instead watch an alternative broadcast organized by Turning Point USA. The advocacy group objected to what it described will be a political and sexually charged presentation centered on “queer icons,” scheduled to air Feb. 8.
Turning Point USA confirmed it will stream an “All American Halftime Show” across its platforms and partner networks, including The Daily Wire, OAN, and National News Desks. The group said the program will highlight “faith, family and freedom” and have announced Kid Rock as one of the headliners, causing concern among some Christians over his values and morals.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is set to headline the Apple Music halftime show, which typically draws more than 100 million viewers. Reports indicate he plans to wear a dress and honor “generations of drag, resistance and cultural rebellion.”
The NFL has not released a formal response. Commissioner Roger Goodell previously said the selection was “carefully thought through” and intended to create a “unified moment.”
