‘God’s Gotta Plan For Me’: NFL Player Credits the Lord After Game-Winning Touchdown Less Than Two Months After He Was Shot

The Washington Commanders scored a 12-7 win over the Chicago Bears Thursday night, but the big story centered on Brian Robinson, Jr., who scored the game-winning touchdown.

Robinson’s powerful showing for his team would have been commended by fans on a normal night, but this was an especially notable moment, because it was Robinson’s first NFL touchdown, coming just two months after he was shot.

The NFL rookie running back was attacked Aug. 28 in a busy area of Washington, D.C., after being approached by two teens looking to rob him. He was shot during the clash, with bullets going through his right glute and right knee.

The potentially deadly encounter put his football career in question and forced him into a difficult recovery.
