Descendant of Muhammad Shares Conversion to Christ

Thomas Samuel, a descendant of Muhammad and former imam who once evangelized for Islam, shared how a season of doubt about his faith led him into severe emotional distress and multiple suicide attempts. After taking pills in an effort to end his life, Samuel prayed to God for the first time, asking to be saved. When he recovered without harm, he questioned whether his prayer had been answered. A second suicide attempt led him to conclude that God had preserved his life.

Samuel later said he experienced dreams in which Jesus called him to follow Him. After asking for confirmation, he said he received a second dream with the same message, convincing him that Jesus had heard his prayer. Samuel said, “The different word, ‘Didn’t I tell you?’ was my clue, my reason to say He was listening! God can listen! Jesus can listen! And people should try that!” He now shares his testimony, believing Christ reveals Himself to those earnestly seeking truth, including people with little access to the Gospel.
