Manny Pacquiao urged thousands of Christian leaders gathered in Manila for the Arise Asia 2026 Congress to make evangelism a personal priority, encouraging believers to set annual goals for leading others to Christ. Speaking to about 4,000 participants from more than 50 countries, the former boxing champion, Philippine lawmaker, and recently appointed international evangelist reflected on his own transformation after placing his faith in Jesus Christ. He encouraged delegates to measure their Christian lives by their commitment to sharing the gospel and suggested setting achievable goals, such as leading two people to Christ in a year before increasing that number over time.
Pacquiao also warned against spiritual pride and complacency, urging believers to remain faithful through regular Bible reading, prayer, and Scripture memorization. He said many Christians compromise their faith by neglecting these disciplines and emphasized that genuine faith should be demonstrated through humility, compassion, and service to others. The Arise Asia 2026 Congress, held under the theme “For the Joy” from Hebrews 12:2, continues in Manila through July 31, bringing together Christian leaders for worship, teaching, and evangelism.
