Evangelist Bryce Crawford says Generation Z is not rejecting God, but turning away from what feels inauthentic. In an interview with Charisma Media, he described a generation overwhelmed by digital distraction, stating, “America’s being rocked to sleep by a lullaby of entertainment,” and noting that many are constantly engaged with phones and streaming platforms. Yet beneath this, he observes a spiritual hunger, explaining, “My generation … is sick of it. … They realize none of it is fulfilling us. … And so that’s where Jesus comes in.”
Crawford emphasizes relational evangelism marked by honesty and humility. He said, “Transparency leads to transformation,” and approaches conversations by saying, “Hey, I’m not preaching at you. I’m learning with you right now.” He favors gentleness over confrontation, noting, “We’re saying the same stuff … but we’re explaining it … with gentleness and respect.”
He also highlighted the need for spiritual mentorship, urging older believers to invest in younger generations, adding, “We need more fathers and mothers to step up.”
